The only differing view is that it is useful for the people who have elected their representative to understand how he voted in a certain situation…whether he/she matches their expectations of their representative. Otherwise the main thrust of the argument I support.
I am in complete agreement with the concept of closed and anonymous voting at all government levels. Anonymity is the only place a conscience can truly reside. Great things happen when one has only one’s self to answer to and impress.
